In this webinar Barbara will share insights and (science based) knowledge about the role of mindfulness and compassion in health and care.
You will discover more about the background, working mechanisms and application areas of mindfulness and compassion in healthcare and how it can be applied and practiced every day.
More about Barbara Doeleman-van Veldhoven
Barbara is an expert in the field of interventions and trainings for health & care and for organisations that are embedded in the principles of mindfulness and compassion. Her passion is to support people in cure and care in cultivating qualities of mindfulness and compassion; on the one hand for more balance and resilience and on the other hand to strengthen teamwork and performance. Her heart also lies in integrating mindfulness and compassion in leadership as the basis for healthy and meaningful organisations. Barbara’s background enables her to bridge organisational dynamics, care, contemplative traditions, mindfulness, compassion and scientific applications of mindfulness-based programs.
When we develop qualities and skills of mindfulness and compassion, we take that with us in every step we take in this life. We cultivate the capability to be present in every situation and relate to experiences with open interest, gentleness and caring so that we can respond to life with wise discernment and compassion. Mindfulness and compassion are therefore the basis of (personal) leadership and teamwork.
