Organisational systems seem to increasingly focus attention on short-term, tangible and instrumental objectives. Spaces for relational work, the ‘worthwhileness’ of which aren’t immediately apparent or measurable, are being squeezed out. Opening space is imperative because the ‘small’, relational conversations enable the big ones (for example, about ethics, innovation, inclusion) to happen and give us a sense of connection and belonging that allow us and our colleagues to flourish.
Megan will speak briefly on this topic and lead a meditation practice focused on ‘AIM’ – allowing, inquiry and meta-awareness – designed to open up spaces where we can step out of autopilot and choose our response.
